Alaska State Flag Glow Sticker
The Alaska state flag, in a sticker that glows after dark. Eight golden stars on navy: seven make up the Big Dipper, and the eighth is the North Star. The flag was designed by a 13-year-old named Benny Benson, which is humbling for the rest of us.
Two shapes, same flag. The AK State-Shaped sticker fills the outline of Alaska with the design. The Bear-Shaped sticker puts it on a walking bear, since the Big Dipper sits in the Great Bear anyway.
About the glow, so nobody is surprised: the printed navy is dark ink, and dark ink mutes glow. What lights up is the border. A thin golden-yellow line hugs the navy, and the sticker material outside it (a pale, slightly greenish tint in daylight) soaks up light and glows green once the lights go out. The navy stays dark and the stars show as faint green dots. Think glowing outline, not night light. About five minutes under a bright light charges it. Alaska has plenty of dark to enjoy it in.
Permanent adhesive, indoor use only (not rated for sun and weather). No easy-peel edge; the sticker is die-cut right to the shape.
Sizes: AK State-Shaped is 3in wide x 2.5in tall. Bear-Shaped is 3in wide x just under 2in tall.
